Completing the Schools Financial Value Standard (SFVS) – Maintained Schools

Audience: School business leader or governor at a maintained school
This workshop will focus on the Schools Financial Value Standard (SFVS) for maintained schools and will cover a number of areas, to assist you in completing the SFVS.
At the end of the workshop, you will get the chance to ask Vicky Butters, Assistant Director, any questions you may have regarding the SFVS.
This course will cover:
- Requirements of the SFVS
- 6 areas of resource management
- Overview of questions
- Updated questions
- Benchmarking data and understanding data
- Self-assessment dashboard and interpreting data
- Full governing body or management committee submission
- Submission to LA
This is an interactive course delivered remotely via Microsoft Teams.

Vicky Butters, Assistant Director
Vicky has over 20 years of experience providing strategic, operational and transactional financial management support to schools, academies and multi-academy trusts. Vicky has extensive knowledge of school and academy finance and supports clients in many functions, including annual budget setting, medium-term plans and forecasts.
